Jan 18th

Dear Family,

This past week we had interviews with President, divisions with the Sister Training Leaders, divisions during a tsunami with the zone, and divisions with 2 young women. So it was just a super busy week and we have been working so hard. It´s stressful but great at the same time.

We did divisions with the young women on a Friday, which was Super Day here in the mission. All of the missionaries in the whole mission were asked to do divisions so that we could do twice the work in the whole mission. It was honestly so crazy. Tons of people had a lot of success. Hermana Choc and I not so much. We started the Super Day at 9am with a mini Missionary Training Center to teach the youth some of the things we wanted them to do to help us teach. Then at 10 we started working until lunch. At lunch Hermana Choc and I were talking and neither of us had entered a house, we had been outside contacting and knocking doors all morning.

After lunch the same thing happened. Hours of contacting and knocking doors. We felt bad for the young women because the goal was to help them get excited about missionary work. And we hadn´t gone in a single house all day! How boring for them! But then two miracles happened. Hermana Choc and Carolina found and taught a woman named Yesica. They cried and it was super spiritual. Lucero and I found Eugenia (a young woman a little younger than Lucero). We taught about the Restoration and it was awesome. And Lucero and Eugenia are like best friends now. Eugenia came to church on Sunday and is excited to be baptized! At the end of the day we took the young women out for ice cream. Carolina and Lucero were so happy and talking about how great the day was and how they want to be missionaries. It just proves that a little bit of success makes all the work worth it:)

I hope that you all have a wonderful week! Don´t get discouraged! The success will come.

Alma 26:27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.

Love,
Hermana Martin
